British Shorthair Health Testing

Each cat in our breeding program is tested for 40+ genetic conditions, blood type, traits and genetic diversity. We test for British shorthair breeding Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) and British shorthair Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) in addition to the following health conditions:

This agreement is for the benefit of both the buyer and seller. It is the intent of the breeder to guarantee that each kitten is healthy at the time of adoption or delivery. Therefore, we ask that the buyer makes every reasonable effort to have the kitten examined by a vet within 3 days of possession. Since we cannot control the environment of the kitten after it leaves the us, this agreement is null and void if the buyer is negligent in securing a timely vet visit after bringing the kitten home.

Our British shorthair breeding kittens are also tested negative for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) by our veterinarian. All of our test results can be viewed publicly on our website when you click on the health testing button for each individual cat on our male Ragdoll and female Ragdoll pages.

Each of our British shorthair kittens comes with a 1-year genetic health guarantee.

Our kittens are guaranteed against the genetic conditions of HCM and PKD for their first 1 years of life, which are two of the most prevalent health conditions in the British shorthair breeding Breed. We take precautions to decrease the odds of producing British shorthair breeds with genetic disorders by testing every kitten in our breeding program prior to breeding. This genetic testing does not guarantee that your kitten will never develop HCM or PKD, but it significantly decreases the risk.

Our 72-Hour Health Guarantee

Each of our Ragdoll kittens comes with a 72-hour health guarantee.

Our kitten are guaranteed for 72 hours against FIV, FeLV and serious, life-threatening health issues. If a licensed veterinarian finds that your kitten has FIV, FeLV or another serious, life-threatening health condition, a refund will be given upon return of the kitten. Your kitten must remain quarantined from all other pets and animals during this 72-hour time period, or else you forfeit the ability to use this guarantee.
